Our journey together is so short: SRIDEVI (An irretrievable loss)

An irretrievable loss

May her soul rest in peace.

I feel extremely sad to acknowledge the truth, cold hard truth that the beautiful actress SRIDEVI is no more.

How will people overlook her absence? People can’t What’s so great about being born? We have no choice or control over the date of our birth. Life is literally forced on us. We accept it and start living. Sometimes we fail and sometimes we succeed. We feel love, we feel happy and at times we suffer pain. And through all such experiences we start loving life. We marvel at the opportunity called life. When we assume that we have full control on our lives, it stabs us. Life takes over that control and makes us aware with the inevitability of death. Death, a universal truth.

How ironical it is that life is ours but at times we cannot take important decisions related to it. As life has already taken some important decisions for us.

I’ve read these sentences many times but today I realized the gravity of these expressions.

It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, “our journey together is so short.”

If each one of us realized that our time here is so short; that to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, not forgiving others, discontentment and a fault finding attitude would be a waste of time and energy. Did someone break your heart? Be calm, the journey is so short.

Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? Be calm, forgive, the journey is so short.

Whatever troubles anyone brings us, let us remember that “our journey together is so short.” No one knows the duration of this journey.

No one knows when their stop will come. “Our journey together is so short.” Let us cherish friends and family.

Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving to each other. And let us be filled with gratitude and gladness.

If I have ever hurt you, I ask for your forgiveness. If you have ever hurt me, you already have my forgiveness.

After all, “Our Journey Together is so Short”

The purpose of my post is to make an appeal to all the kind souls reading. Feel grateful for each and every relation you have, learn to forgive the one and many you loved. Competition is good but cooperation is necessary, practice it.

Give someone a reason to smile.
